Baseball Australia approached Spark Digital to create a mobile application to help increase the exposure of baseball content from multiple platforms to the entire baseball audience.
Strategy
Prior to launch of the app, digital baseball content was in disparate locations including a non-mobile friendly website, YouTube channel, and multiple systems for live scores, results and schedules.
Bringing all this content into one place was a key strategy for the project and Spark Digital planned, designed and built the app to achieve this outcome.
Deliverables
The baseball community are now more accessible through being able to access live scores from 5 different systems and APIs in one location. Live streamed video is available and push notifications help drive baseball fans regularly back to the app. Thousands of baseball fans regularly tune into games on the app and in the 6 months post launch of the app hundred’s of thousands of impressions of baseball content have been made via the app.
