Premium Health – Website & Digital Marketing

BACKGROUND
Premium Health have been providing quality first aid at a national level for over 30 years.  Spark Digital was employed to design a new website using current best practice design. The old site was convoluted and not intuitive for the user to navigate when choosing to book a first aid or health care training course.

STRATEGY
The strategy was to rethink the structure and user flow of the existing website and redesign incorporating videos as a point of difference on the new website’s landing page.  Menu item selections were also condensed, giving the landing page a clean streamlined offering that is more user friendly. A keyword analysis was also conducted and the new site was structured out to include the result findings.

RESULTS
Premium Health are delighted with their new look website.  It has also acted as a catalyst for SEM, SEO and eDM communications driving people to their new website, there was also an in-house staff launch as well.

Australian Open Tennis

Background

Prior to founding his own agency, our Director Nick Davies was the Web Designer and Digital Producer at Tennis Australia. In Nick’s role he designed and produced tennis.com.au, AustralianOpen.com, numerous other event websites including the Sydney and Brisbane tennis events as well as websites for stars such as Sam Stosur, Casey Dellacqua and Jelena Dokic.

Strategy
Spark Digital continues to work with Tennis Australia on digital strategy and project management for the Australian Open, one of the four grand slam tennis tournaments.
The Strategy for AustralianOpen.com is to bring the feeling of the tournament direct to virtual visitors with score feeds and heavy social integration.

Deliverables
In addition to the website, the world’s first grand slam iPad app was produced. Official iPhone and Android apps are also produced in conjunction with technology sponsor IBM. Our founder Nick Davies project manages the digital sponsorship activations of organisations including Emirates, Rolex, and TAC. In 2015, iBeacon technology was integrated into the event iPhone app.

Results
The Australian Open website receives over 15 million unique visitors over the 2-week tournament period. The iPad app was a first for grand slam tennis. Over 1 million people download the iPhone app worldwide.

Emirates Australian Open Series

Background
The Emirates AO Series is an exciting stepping stone to the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open. The Series begins in the New Year with the Hopman Cup and Brisbane International, followed by the World Team Challenge (Adelaide), the Hobart International and the Apia International in Sydney.

Strategy
For the 2015 series, Emirates became the title partner, and to celebrate a new website that brought the five pre Australian Open tournaments together was planned by Spark Digital and Tennis Australia.

Results
A responsive, mobile friendly website was planned, designed and developed by Spark Digital. The site featured a beautiful video background, player search feature, TV schedule, ticket promotions and social feed.

Gallery Blinds – Website and Blind Builder Application

Background

Gallery Blinds is a new, online start-up business by Bay Media, which allows customers to choose an image from various collections, and turn it into a fashionable blind for their home or office.

Spark was engaged to develop the ecommerce website and blind builder application. 

Strategy

Spark worked closely with the Bay Media team from the project initiation through to delivery. 

Our process included a lengthly planning stage involving wireframes, design reviews and technical/functional specifications.

Deliverables

Spark developed a visually themed website and easy to use blind building app, powered Amazon servers and managed via a customised WordPress CMS. An number of custom photo streaming APIs were also created, to allow Gallery Blinds to integrate images from Getty Images, Bridgeman Images and BigStock Photo libraries. 

The site also allows for a user to upload their own image file to have it turned into a beautiful, personalised blind.

Accredited First Aid Courses

Background

Accredited First Aid Courses is a pioneer amongst the independent first aid training providers in Australia with almost 20 years in operation,

Accredited First Aid Courses were interested in growing their business using the internet with a new website and search engine optimisation campaign.

Strategy

A bespoke website was designed and developed by Spark Digital that highlights the courses and locations with a clear call to action including contact numbers and online bookings.

Results

In the five years since launch the website has resulted in over 115,000 unique visitors and an incredible 50,000 bookings for the company.

100’s of number 1 and top ten results have been achieved on Google including for terms such as ‘First Aid Courses Melbourne’.

Essendon Football Club Corporate Hospitality

Background
Essendon Football Club’s Corporate Hospitality department were looking to develop a communication piece aimed at promoting Essendon’s corporate entertainment offering while generating additional revenue for the club.

Strategy
A thorough competitor analysis planning phase saw the site draw influence from corporate hospitality offerings from the leading english premier league clubs.

Bookings can be taken online and upcoming fixtures take prominence on the site.

At launch the site was supported by an SEO, SEM and Email campaign.

Results
In the five months since the site launched in February 2012, the website has resulted in over 325 new corporate hospitality bookings for the club. Over 24,000 unique visitors have visited the site, and the site ranks first page for AFL grand final packages on Google.

Tennis Australia – Cardio Tennis

Background
Cardio Tennis is the new high energy social fitness workout introduced by Tennis Australia.

Strategy
Spark delivered a range of digital marketing efforts to launch Cardio Tennis including the web and mobile sites, banner ads, direct emails, a Facebook app as well as SEO and SEM efforts.

The site includes a feature where people can find their nearest Cardio Tennis Coach on either their desktop or mobile device.

Results
170,000 people have visited the site over an 18 month period, averaging 10,000 people a month. Almost 6,000 people have signed up to receive a free trial via from the web/mobile site and Facebook app.

Carlton & United Breweries (CUB)

Background
In May 2011 Foster’s de-merged its wine business leaving a question mark over the beer brand. Spark’s partner agency Bastion Brands was engaged to bring to life CEO John Pollaers’ vision ‘To be the beer brand loved by all Australians’.

Strategy
Bastion set about to create a brand that truly stands for something in Australia. A brand that people would be proud to work for again, united under a common vision and an understanding of why they turned up for work everyday. A new belief was created for CUB around the positioning of ‘Raised in Friendship’.

Deliverables
The site includes a fantastic beer and cider scroller that features all of CUB’s brands. An extensive history section is featured with photos and videos bringing to life the epic 170 year history of this Australian institution. The mobile website packages all the content up into bite-sized chunks for handheld browsing.

Results
The mobile site was one of the first ‘responsive’ sites implemented for a large corporation in Australia. The website has become of the hub for beer in Australia. Numerous top-ten page results have been achieved on Google.

Smiling Mind

Background
Smiling Mind is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing accessible training in Mindfulness Meditation. Spark was engaged to develop the program as a free online tool and iPhone app.

Strategy
Spark worked closely with the Smiling Mind team and design partner – Cornwell from the project initiation through to delivery. Our process included a lengthly planning stage involving wireframes, design reviews and technical/functional specifications.

Deliverables
Spark developed the website and app stretching the capabilities of WordPress and JavaScript to their limits. We created a unique audio listening player in JavaScript that tracks every meditation listen and developed an API that connects the WordPress back-end to the IOS app.

Results
The Smiling Mind app and website launched to the public in October 2012. Since launch the app has been downloaded over 400,000 times, and received average app store ratings of 4.5.
