Gallery Blinds’ Builder Makes Their Customer’s The Designer

Gallery Blinds combines the designer stock photography, with simple roller blinds, to bring a bit of art into every home and office. A favourite design innovation on home renovations shows like, The Block, Gallery Blinds’s ecommerce site and custom application, make it easier for the average home owner to achieve this concept.

Spark helped Gallery Blinds to achieve their dream of simplifying and automating design of their blinds for users, through the development of a custom Blind Builder application. The Gallery Blinds Blind Builder puts the design power back into the customer’s hands – allowing them to upload their own photographs, resize and adjust their selected images to meet their own personal style needs. It’s also just a lot of fun!

Spark Digital launches the City of Melbourne’s new Tourism Portal

The City of Melbourne’s tourism department runs the Melbourne Visitor Centre’s in Federation Square & Bourke St as well as roaming on-street volunteers at key locations around Melbourne. Staff and Volunteers are frequently asked questions by tourists on what to do and things to do within the city, however could only access the outdated and hard-to-use existing portal when on the City of Melbourne Network.

Spark Digital was engaged to plan, design and develop a new, stand-alone tourism portal that staff and volunteers could access anywhere including from tablets on the street. We worked on creating a simple-to-use look and feel for the portal that offered the average volunteer of 60+ years, a clear and concise view of what was on and things to do in Melbourne.

Spark Digital have just completed training staff and volunteers on using and updating the portal. The feedback so far has been great with staff and volunteers commenting on how great the portal looks and how easy it is to find what’s on in Melbourne and answer tourist’s questions.

A new face around Spark Digital

Spark Digital has a new face around the office – Susie Buckley. Susie is here gaining some experience with us in the Digital space for the next month. Susie comes to us from Treasury Wines Estates (TWE) where she worked in the finance area as an accountant. Susie has a love of everything from wine to water-skiing.

Our new office

We are settling into the new office downstairs here with Bastion Brands at 14-18 Cremorne St. Lauren Said has done a fantastic job on the interiors with an awesome large blackboard wall as our inspiration space, mod grass at the top of the walls and cacti greening up our desks.
